after watching south park and pepper pig i feel ready to come at this project with some practical image making. im using pepper pig as my starting point due to my animator wants it to have a pepper big inspired.
a little worried because iv never drawn this way before...not seriously anyway. this is so far away from my comfort zone or anything remotly like my practise...should be fun.
cal had sent me a story board that he feels is fitting for the animation. this gives me a starting point and gives me some direction of how and what to present with in my illustration role. in the story board he has marching pigs on side proflie. that tells me to draw side profile pigs.
below are some of the ideas from my sketch book and pushed forward. i removed the over lapping lines due to feeling that it would look better in a nanimatiom.
the stages are. over lapping lines then coloured over lapping lines then coloured no over lapping lines then same again with added texture. i added the texture on the final pig to try and grit the image up. iv received a few comments saying that the pigs are for a child audiance and are not appropriate for advertising cider...i have to agree but with the right direction i think it cn be pulled of.
adding some personality to the pigs. character.
