after effact workshop

 import the file, don't import it as it is theres a few steps to do before you upload. 

file-import ( import the photoshop file your working with ) import as drop menu-import as composition 

then click ok on the pop up 

double click the composition layer in the folder on the right and side panel. 

to check you working in the right format and size and what have you. go to composition and then composition settings.

up loaded a new image

select the layer you wish. highlight all layers in the bottom pannal were your layers are and press R or s or T

this will select them all and maintains the shape but moves as one.
file open file select the bottom opion on the drop down

the new image will appear in the left hand side panel. click it to open the layers in the bottom panel then high light all the layers with in that panel and press R this will ceneter the image layers and let the stay were they are and just spin.

1 shy switch 

allowing you to simplify the complex. hides layers we don't need to see.

2 continually rasterised  

 only available to certain layers. works for illustrator. allow the illustrator file to maintain its          vector. just click the icon and this will do that.

3 quality and sampling 

to lower the resolution on your whole composition. lower the quality of each individual layers. 

4 effects

turns of all effects

N/A for video only 

6 motion blur 

helps simulate the position and scale and gives the effect of realism. the same effect as a video recording 

7 adjustment layer

this switches will turn the layer into an adjustment layer. all to do with applying affects. the same as you find in photoshop such as hue layers saturation and what have you.
