this weeks topic is village
when i hear villege im reminded of my home town, of fryson village, when i think of there i think of my grandads storys, and they always started of one sunday morning when i was on my way to church i woulf run of just before i got into thee doors and id go play football with the next village and this one football match... then i would be told by detail about one of his exciting fights or get aways he had been in.. im going to use that as a starting point for this topic.
To do list.
Thumbnails - 1 hour
Roughs. - 15
Page work. - 20
Digital - 20
below is my thumbnails not as many as usuial due to the fact i hit an inspiration that i fell in love with. the first panel i drew people walking to church. the next was meant to be the same idea but with a different composition. but when i drew the people i drew some on a slant by mistake...BOOM looks like a scene from a zombie film. ideas was flying whilst i was looking at the panel. i had an idea in my head of red skys and red sets on the walls of the church. and a low frame looking up at the church with the backs of the zombies heads.

the fird panel was just that, the fourth was me playing around with the angle of the left hand side wall of the church...experimenting which of the two made the composition my correct visually.

its a very basic result. its simple in form and style. the coours are not too complicated infact the most it gets is with a casted shadow from the roof tops. but despite the simpleness to it i love it, the colours are what i had in mind and the i think iv captured the mood of the scene well. to me this is a page right out of my head. really happy with the out come. GET IN.
