illustrator tutorial
i don't want to come across negative or unprofessional in this post, but I'm explaining how i completed the task with my lack of skill. i won't lie to my self and say iv done this that and the other to complete this task.
as expected i knew i would find this difficult due to my lack of skill on computers. i find it difficult to take in and follow easy instructions when it comes to computer skills, still confesses me why i can't do it or even understand it. the same thing happens when i read a book i can read a page and it dosnt compute in my head i forget what iv just read seconds ago, this isn't an excuse but I'm sure its all to do with my dyslexia, either that or I'm just thick as! its frustrating that i can't take anything in when it comes to digital work.
we was told step by step how to use the pencil tool, even with a step by step tutorial i had shapes and lines all over my page.
we was given a task to trace over shapes using the pencil tool that we had just been told about
i completed the task but not as i was meant to i would like to say that i completed the task because i learnt how to use the illustrator tool but i can't. i did what i do best and improvised. i completed the task by using the pencil tool still but by multiple clicking and removing lines till the image looked as if it was traced. not cheating but completing the task with the skills i have.
the second task we was given was to trace a character. again i attempted the task whilst be given a step by step walk threw on the task but failed.
a one to one with the tutor again helped me finish the task how ever i still don't know what i did to do it i think i finished the task by following his instruction by him telling me were to click…i couldn't redo any of this task again on my own
i feel that i should treat this program as i did with photoshop, take a step back and see what tool I can relate to. does it have a paint brush and a pallet? yes!
