descriptions from the books i found inspired to illustrate
the road
the man has been dreaming about wondering in a flowstone cave led by his son. like pilgrims in a fable swallowed up and lost among the inword parts of a granitic beast. in the dream, the man and his arive at a black and ancient lake cross from the blind creature the creature is translutent. its inards are vaguely visible. the creature turns away from the man and the boy
no country for old men
if the rule you followed brought you here, of what use was the rule?
it was like we was both back in older times and i was on horse back going through this pass in the mountians. ground cold and there was snow on the ground and he road past me he had this blanket wrapped around him and he had his head sdown and when he rode past i senn he was carrying fire in a horn the way people used to do it and i could see the horn from the light inside of it about the colour of teh moon. and in the dream i knew that he was fixing to make a fire somwere out there in all that dark and cold and i knew that whenever i got there he would be there and then i woke up.
I learnt in level 4 that I was too proud of my sketch books, what ever I drew had to be at a good quality
Over the summer I have come away from that now to me my sketch books are for thumbnails, ideas experimenting with media and colour, roughs. All experiments to see if things work or not. So a nice sketch book for me should be full of nice drawing, scribbles roughs and my experiments. Took along time but I finish use my sketch books proper now.

Scene for no country for old men
Double page. The road. I tried to draw a scene with a bridge that travels through some kind of valley, I wanted there to be abandoned vehicles on the road and huge rough trees over growing the valley.
Depth experiment tried to show the boat in the see at a distance and played with the perspective of the picture to make it look far away like the journey the man and the boy travel to get to the south cost.
Some late night dumb drawings
I didn't take time drawing this car because I know what cars look like so I didn't need to spend too much time drawing I just jotted it in to see if the perspective would work. I think it works well. I used a white ink pen to bleed on the image to create snow.
One of those moments were I was fed up nothing to do I I picked up my college sketch book and made some crap images. Just for the sake of doing work... Wasn't in the mood. However I did kind of like the cactus so maybe I will come back to the style and push them dark bold lines forward at a later stage.
I can NOT Draw buildings or city scapes. It's somthing I look forward to working on in the project, because building are vital in the road.
I'll probably go into town and draw the city buildings and then draw them abandoned and ruined.
Another experiment with colour. I don't really work with colour unless it's paint, I understand colour with paint but oddly as it sounds I don't understand colour with any other media. So the colour here is to try it out and use a basic colour theme in Photoshop to creat the image.
Again naff buildings.

In the book child of God there's a scene of dozens of dead woman some naked and some barely closed. They are discribed as if they a mounded on top of each other in a pile in a dark cave.
