• When drawing from observational you will be working in natural light or even a well light room, because of this you will see the value of the subject. The light brings out detail,colour,depth and tones that you wouldn't be able to notice from a screen or book. You can observe the object better by getting up close or even walking around it to understand shape and form and how the object sits on its surface. 

• Drawing observational allows you to move the object into the righ position that your looking for, or even to be able to position your self around the object.
