i see faces task 1

identifying  things that interest me.

1. fantasy ( anything from super hero, to old world mythical times)

                                                           humanoid worrior, creation

                                             human character with the ability to manafest fire

making characters for this interest was fun and challenging putting a face and personality to an interest was challenging, but not very time consuming a fun task.

2. animals

tit in a tree

bird studies

more bird studys but this time i focused on capturing the personality of the common bird. that shady little side look they give you with the sharp head movement. and giving them a comic value.

pig and a ruff fox

 pig and a fox

this pig is  more characterised to human features, i feel this gives the pig more to relate to and a more understanding to people to understand and enjoy.

5 things that interest me 

3. movies 

 alien cartoon, predator cartoon and yoda.

iron man.

i know now that this idea i can't push forward because this isn't a character iv created but a characiture.

not my own idea, but i still enjoyed the challenge and the funess of making movie chars look funny.

 things that irritate me

1. being celiac 

making characters of some of the foods that hate me

the mallteaser monster

the loaf of bread of death

                                            me fighting the temptations of a jam sandwich 

things that immuse me 

1. face expressions 

i had fun with the batman face expressions but felt i needed to push my direction to build my own charactors.

the next pages are real quick studys faces of ages. the quicker i drew the faces the more character came out, i was happy with this lose drawing approach for this task it really brought out the personality of some faces and gave me opening to develop characters top the next level.

above are some child like poses i wasn't too happy with the line work just screams out no confidence the line work is week and looks accidental, even though its a lose style of drawing there should be some level of control. some illustrations today do have a style were line work isn't meet but that still looks well crafted as this just look run down.

 old man rash.i was happy with the sharp features of the old man rash on the last image, the strong and sharp line work works well it still looks at its early stages in a sketch book but looks like a character that all ready has a personality.

 interests me

space.

i love space, its defonetly one of my strong interests in life but in my sketch book i couldn't draw anything that expressed that. i couldn't create a successful character i had some kind of mental block when trying to draw them. i don't know what it was that was stopping me, maybe its because i don't observationally see space everyday or maybe because thats as far as my imagination goes, not sure but what ever happened space was a bad idea and i couldn't produce any work from it. the just refused to come to life.
